What color should I paint my fireplace?

I have red walls and a starch white fireplace. The fireplace looks aweful. I am not sure what would be a good color to paint it. Its a concrete fireplace.
I think the tan would be good. however my adjacent wall is tan, would that still look okay. My couch is dark brown

How about going with a natural kind of color so as to not clash with the red? I suggest a tan shade… kind of reminiscent of adobe structures since your fireplace is made of concrete.

I would paint it a color in the brown family (khaki, tan, beige, brown etc…)
