What Are The Options For Heating Up A Large Space, Loft, Etc?

Keep your furnace on just normal (say 72-75 degrees) and supplement with an electric space heater making sure that you have stock in an energy stock and are making money from that to compensate for the expense of the electric heater

It really depends on where you live. If you live in a relatively cold climate (upstate New York, for example), you DO NOT want electric heat, unless you can get it inexpensively. Electric heat is essentially 100% efficient, but it is the most expensive form of heat in $/btu. A indirect gas-fired unit heater might be a better economically if you have natural gas or propane available.
