		<description>it would be best to remove the entire chimney. it will fall in unless you find a way to support the weigh from the bottom and if you are trying to gain space it's not feasible to support it.</description>

		<description>Not clear.. Do you want to enlarge ONE room by 3 sq ft?  If so... that would require some tearing out of existing wall board.... taking out the brick  and re-wall boarding.. 

Are you sure this is what you want to do? Many people buying houses (in case you were to sell it) want a fire place.. and seeing the chimney on top would anticipate that it had a fireplace on the inside</description>

		<description>Be careful and take a sledge hammer and break it apart.  If it is properly installed it will crumble.  Be careful since if it was not done correctly the top portion may fall in.  I done this type of this several times before, and I've had it happen both ways.  Its a messy job, but worth it in the long run.</description>
